GoaltendersĀ scoring in hockey gamesĀ are like fat guy touchdowns: They don’t happen often, and they aren’t often pretty, but they’re always fun to watch.

Reto Berra became the latest goaltender to turn the tables, as he found the back of the net Friday night in an AHL game.

Berra currently is playing for the Colorado Avalanche’s AHL affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters, and he’s making the most of his rehab stint. He played a solid game between the pipes Friday night and then iced the game by scoring an empty-net goal from his own crease.

It’s an impressive goal, but it’s nothing compared to the fun-loving goal celebration that followed.

His opponents, however, were not impressed.

Berra stopped 21 of 22 shots he faced to get the win.
