Predicting your favorite NFL team’s Super Bowl victory with a tattoo never is a good idea, but it’s an even worse idea when you predict back-to-back wins.
But that didn’t stop a Florida man who goes by “O.C.” on Twitter from dropping $300 on Christmas Eve to permanently ink his Seattle Seahawks on his arm as “back to back champions.” The tattoo also features two giant Lombardi Trophies.

Super Bowl prediction tattoos rarely end well — just ask these Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills fans — but what O.C. did was even more ill-advised. Although it’s obviously not impossible, it’s extremely difficult for teams to repeat Super Bowl victories thanks to the intense, one-and-done nature of the NFL playoffs.
O.C. has been right so far, but the Seahawks’ only playoff test has been the Carolina Panthers, and that wasn’t exactly a difficult one for them to pass. He might be in for trouble come Sunday when Seattle takes on the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.
Plus, another Seahawks fan foresaw last season’s Super Bowl win with a tattoo, and we have to assume that back-to-back correct tattoo predictions are even more rare than the back-to-back victories themselves.
