Donald Cerrone Right Back At It, Will Fight Benson Henderson At UFC Boston

donDonald Cerrone wanted another fight as soon as he finished his UFC 182 win over Myles Jury last Saturday, and he got one, as he will step in for the injured Eddie Alvarez on January 18 in Boston to take on his former WEC nemesis Benson Henderson.

UFC President Dana White announced the bout on Twitter Monday evening.

Winner of six straight, Cerrone is getting ever closer to a shot at the UFC lightweight championship, but first he hopes to take care of some unfinished business with former champion Henderson, who he faced twice in memorable WEC title fights.

In their first meeting in October of 2009, Henderson won a five-round battle seen by most as that year’s best fight, and one of the best in WEC history. Henderson scored a submission win in their rematch in April of 2010, but a week from Saturday, the two will meet for a third time, and the stakes are higher than ever for both men.
