Hope Solo might have dodged a police arrest recently but she couldn’t escape the punishment of the United States Soccer Federation.

U.S. Soccer announced Thursday that it has suspended Solo for 30 days, following an incident that occurred during the ongoing United States women’s national team training camp in Southern California. U.S. Soccer didn’t specify Solo’s infraction, but it likely is related to the arrest of her husband, Jerramy Stevens. Solo will miss the rest of training camp and upcoming exhibitions against France on Feb. 8 and England on Feb. 13.

“During our current National Team camp, Hope made a poor decision that has resulted in a negative impact on U.S. Soccer and her teammates,” U.S. Women’s national team head coach Jill Ellis said. “We feel at this time it is best for her to step away from the team.”

Solo apologized, accepted U.S. Soccer’s discipline and vowed to return to the team fit and focused.

Solo was a passenger in the car Stevens was driving early Monday morning when police pulled them over. Solo reportedly acted “belligerently” toward police officers, who subsequently arrested Stevens under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Stevens was arrested six days after a Washington judged dismissed domestic violence charges against Solo.

Solo, the United States’ starting goalkeeper, and her teammates are preparing intensely for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada. Team USA is among the favorites to win the tournament, which kicks off on on June 6. The final will be on July 5 in Vancouver.
