Get ready to hear how Tom Brady likes his footballs prepared when he speaks to the media Thursday at 3:45 p.m.

The New England Patriots quarterback addressed his teammates in the morning and told them that he likes his footballs “a certain way,” NBC News reports. He also told them to focus on the Super Bowl.

NFL officials reportedly found that 11 of the Patriots’ game balls were under-inflated by 2 pounds per square inch in the AFC Championship Game.

Head coach Bill Belichick hinted during his morning news conference that Brady will discuss his “personal preferences” regarding game balls during his afternoon media session.

Belichick was at the head of the Patriots’ DeflateGate controversy to start the week, but the head coach told reporters that he was “shocked” to hear Monday morning that footballs were under-inflated. Now, based on Belichick’s comments and what many former NFL quarterbacks have said, the weight of DeflateGate might rest on Brady, who would have more say in how his game balls are maintained.

It will be interesting to see how the coverage of DeflateGate shifts now that Brady, who doesn’t have Belichick’s reputation as a cheater, is on the stand. National reporters were calling for Belichick to be suspended or worse after initial news broke that the Patriots were using under-inflated footballs.
