Suso Joins AC Milan From Liverpool In Reported $1.5 Million Transfer (Photo)

MILAN — AC Milan has completed the signing of Suso from Liverpool, with the 21-year-old Spanish midfielder agreeing a deal until 2019.

Suso, who spent last season on loan in Spain’s La Liga with Almeria, signed from Cadiz in 2010 but made just 21 appearances for Liverpool. He scored once in his only appearance this season against Middlesbrough in the league cup.

He then was sidelined with injury and only recently returned to practice.

Suso was expected to sign with Milan when his contract expired this summer, but the young Spaniard reportedly went to Italy on his day off last Sunday for a medical without permission from Liverpool.

AC Milan reportedly paid Liverpool £1 million ($1.5 million) to sign Suso six months earlier than expected.
