Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask has performed at a Vezina Trophy-caliber level in January and he continued his strong play through the first period and a half of Thursday’s game against the New York Islanders.

Just over five minutes into the second period, Islanders forward Michael Grabner had a wide open net at the edge of the crease, but Rask kept his shot out with an amazing stick save. The B’s goalie moved quickly from left to right and stunned everyone in attendance at Nassau Coliseum.

It’s certainly among the top candidates for “Save of the Year.”
