The Dallas Stars have found something pretty special in the combination of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn.

The two players were fine young talents before being united, but ever since Seguin was acquired by the Stars in the summer before the 2013-14 season, they’ve turned into one of the NHL’s most dynamic duos.

Seguin and Benn are at it again this season. Seguin enters Tuesday night’s game against his former team, the Boston Bruins, second in the NHL with 52 points (28 goals, 24 assists) in 45 games. Benn has enjoyed a nice year, too, with 13-27-40 totals.

Their relationship has blossomed off the ice, too, as the players have become good friends.

“He was very much more quiet when I first arrived here, I feel like, than where we are now. He’s opened up a bit more,” Seguin explained in an interview with ESPN.com in November. “I have a very outgoing personality. He brings things out in me, like just his work ethic and being around a person like that, and I kind of bring out the social side of him, I guess you could say.”

The Seguin-Benn “bromance” is a big reason why Stars fans are hopeful Dallas can get back in the playoffs this season for just the second time in seven years.
