FALL RIVER, Mass. — The murder trial of former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez, which was to resume Monday, has been delayed a day due to a major snowstorm coming to the region.

Monday’s delay is the fourth snow day in the trial’s two-week span.

Hernandez is charged with killing Odin Lloyd, who was dating his fiancée’s sister.

Jurors, the judge and lawyers in the case spent Friday traveling in a bus with a heavy police escort to sites that also included the street where Lloyd lived and four cell phone towers, which transmitted data that investigators say tie Hernandez to the crime.

The defense last week went after how police handled the evidence, as they tried to paint a picture of a sloppy investigation.
