The Boston Bruins will be aiming to end their current four-game losing streak, and halt their tumbling Stanley Cup betting odds at the online sportsbooks, when they visit the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night.

The Bruins blew a three-goal third-period lead on Monday night in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames, their second straight loss on their current five-game road trip. After being deadlocked with six teams at 12/1 on the Stanley Cup odds just a week ago, the Bruins have faded to 16/1 at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

However, Boston remains in control of the final wild-card spot in the NHL?s Eastern Conference heading into Wednesday?s Bruins vs. Oilers matchup at Rexall Place, sitting four points ahead of the Florida Panthers.

The Bruins posted a 5-2 victory over the Oilers in their last meeting back in November, their 13th straight win over Edmonton dating back to 2001. However, the goaltending matchup in Wednesday?s game remains unclear following the hasty recall this week of rookie goaltender Malcolm Subban from the AHL Providence Bruins.

Reports indicate that Subban may make his first career NHL start on Wednesday, while injuries to Oilers goaltenders Ben Scrivens and Viktor Fasth may result in third-stringer Richard Bachman getting his first start of the season for Edmonton.

In college hoops action the Boston College Eagles will look to halt a six-game straight-up losing skid when they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., on Wednesday night to face the Florida State Seminoles.

The Eagles dropped a heartbreaking 89-86 overtime decision to the Miami Hurricanes on Monday night, their 11th loss in 12 contests against ACC rivals, but did manage to cover as four-point underdogs on the college basketball betting lines, improving the club to 8-4 against the spread in their last 12 games.

Boston College has struggled against FSU in recent matchups, going 2-6 SU in its last eight, but is 2-1 ATS in its last three, with each of those games finishing OVER the point total.

The Boston Celtics will return to action on Friday night following a nine-day layoff for the All-Star Break, taking on the Sacramento Kings in the first game of a three-game western road trip.

The Celtics return to action riding a five-game ATS win streak, 4-1 SU including three outright victories as underdogs on the NBA betting lines, and have climbed to just 1 1/2 games back of the eighth-place Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference standings.
