There’s been a lot of talk about where Peyton Manning will end up next season, but Gary Kubiak doesn’t seem too worried.

The new Denver Broncos head coach was asked about the star quarterback as he arrived in Indianapolis on Tuesday for the NFL Scouting Combine. Kubiak not only believes Manning will be back for another year, but he also squashed the rumor that the Broncos might not want him.

“I’m expecting him to come back,” Kubiak said, per The Denver Post’s Mike Klis. “We want to play with him. This organization has won a lot of games with him, and we want to get back and do it again. Expecting him to come back.”

And while the rest of the country is getting impatient waiting to hear Manning’s and the Broncos’ decision, Kubiak thinks everything is going smoothly.

“I don’t think there’s any hold up at all,” Kubiak said. “He and (general manager) John (Elway) are working through the process. That’s been the plan all along, the way I understand it.”

Manning reportedly met with Elway last Thursday, so if everything goes the way that Kubiak says, we could be hearing about a decision soon.
