Hannah Davis Lands Cover Of 2015 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (Video)

Sports Illustrated has a new cover model for its annual SI Swimsuit edition.

The magazine announced Wednesday that Hannah Davis will grace its Feb. 9 cover. Assistant managing editor MJ Day surprised Davis, who also happens to be former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter’s girlfriend, on “SI Now.”

It might not come as a surprise that Davis, who’s appeared in the issue twice before, was chosen, but the model was shocked. Part of the reason she thought she wouldn’t get the cover is because her shoot took place at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee.

“I told my mom there was no way I’d get the cover,” Davis said, per SI. “I told her ‘They do beaches for covers, and I’m on a farm. There’s no way. It’s not possible.'”

But luckily for Davis, it was possible.

“I didn’t think it could get better than Hannah’s Jersey Shore shoot last year, but this year everything clicked,” Day said. “It was perfection.”
