Philippe Coutinho is enjoying 2015.

Coutinho was named Liverpool’s player of the month for January 2015, the club announced Tuesday. Coutinho started in all eight games Liverpool played last month, helping the Reds continue their impressive mid-season revival. Fans voted Coutinho as Liverpool’s player of the month for the third time this season. He also won in October and December 2014.

“It means a lot to me,” Coutinho told LiverpoolFC.com. “As I have said before, it will give me confidence on the field. I am very happy and thank all supporters who have voted.”

“I think I have been working a lot, but I prefer to talk about the team. I think the team has been playing well and that is important for Liverpool.”

Liverpool lost only once in eight games in January. Coutinho registered two assists last month but his positive play has made the Reds’ attack more potent than it was earlier in the season.

Coutinho, 22, also negotiated a new contract in January before signing it earlier this month. The Brazilian hopes to highlight future displays with more of an end product.

“I always work hard, but of course there are always things to improve and one of them is to score more goals,” Coutinho said. “I have been working on that and in my position that is important. That is something I should improve.”
