Could Boogie be on his way to Boston?

The Celtics are rumored to be pursuing Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, NBA.com’s Sam Smith reported Monday. Boston also reportedly has interest in another big man, Enes Kanter of the Utah Jazz.

While Cousins coming to the Celtics might seem like a long shot — the Kings haven’t even indicated that he’s available — Smith says there’s speculation “he and (new head coach) George Karl won’t work together and Karl wants to play faster without a low post center.” For now, it seems to be all talk and no action, though.

As for who the Celtics might deal, Smith says Evan Turner, Marcus Thornton and Brandon Bass all are on the table. Turner is set to make $3.4 million next season, while Thornton and Bass will be free agents.
