According to multiple reports, Aaron Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins, struck a deal with prosecutors to testify against her husband-to-be in exchange for immunity in the murder trial of Odin Lloyd. Her testimony could be a deciding factor in the case against New England Patriots tight end, who has plead not guilty to orchestrating Lloyd’s death.
But Jenkins isn’t the first “WAG” to turn her back on her high profile professional athlete, and she probably won’t be the last.
Plenty of athletes have been involved in relationships that have ended less-than-amicably. From former NBA star Lamar Odom to disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong, many sports stars have spurned — or were spurned by — their significant others.
