Trent Dilfer was wrong. At least he’s willing to admit such.

Dilfer, among others, was rather harsh with the New England Patriots following their 41-14 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. Pats wide receiver Julian Edelman fired back at the ESPN analyst’s past criticism after New England defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX, and Dilfer took to Twitter to offer his stamp of approval.

Edelman, who also had some words for Patriots haters on Monday, called Dilfer’s previous criticism “embarrassing” in the wake of New England winning its fourth Super Bowl title. The Seahawks had victory within reach Sunday, but the Patriots, as they did all season, overcame adversity to squeak out a 28-24 win.

Even Dilfer can’t help but tip his cap.
