They don’t call Bill Belichick a genius for nothing.

While the Northeast continues to get pelted by cold temperatures and intermittent snowstorms, the New England Patriots head coach is down south, making his way from one college pro day to another.

Belichick attended Clemson’s pro day Thursday after spending Wednesday at Georgia and Tuesday at Auburn.

Patriots assistant to the coaching staff Michael Lombardi joined Belichick at Clemson’s pro day. Pass rusher Vic Beasley is a projected first-round pick and the top Clemson prospect, but Belichick might be in South Carolina to check out projected third-round defensive tackle Grady Jarrett, fourth-round linebacker Stephone Anthony or fourth-round defensive end Corey Crawford.

Projected undrafted free agent DeShawn Williams helped boost his stock Thursday with a 4.96-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot, 303 pounds.
