One of the worst hockey jerseys of all time is about to be no more.

The Buffalo Sabres are ditching their horrendous third jerseys, team president Ted Black said Thursday on WGR Radio, according to the Buffalo News. The team will no longer wear the sweaters after this season.

Black admitted issues in the roll-out process and said the Sabres didn’t “anticipate the amount of third-jersey fatigue,” according to the Buffalo News.

Here’s a look at the jersey in action.

The Sabres “leaked” the blue and gold sweaters in September of 2013 in a Twitter stunt with then-Sabres forward Steve Ott. The reveal was met with widespread dissatisfaction and disapproval, with Black even admitting a month after the jerseys were unveiled that things hadn’t gone as planned.

“If it’s a turd burger, I’ll have to put on a bun and eat it,” he said in a radio interview at the time. “It’s the way it is.”

With Thursday’s announcement, it’s just about time for Black and the Sabres to eat up.
