It was a First Four matchup between No. 11 seeds, but Ole Miss and Brigham Young delivered a score that looked more like an NBA game in the Rebels’ exciting 94-90 comeback win.

Ole Miss trailed the Cougars right out of the gate, and things certainly weren’t looking great for them when BYU held a 49-32 lead at halftime. But the Rebels slowly crept up on the Cougars and eventually pulled ahead on a Stefan Moody 3-pointer with 7:48 remaining in the game.

M.J. Rhett followed Moody with a beautiful alley-oop slam from Jarvis Summers.

BYU regained the lead with four minutes to go, but Ole Miss didn’t back down, answering the Cougars (and then some) every time they scored and eventually taking the W.

Ole Miss now will travel to Jacksonville, Fla., to take on No. 6 seed Xavier on Thursday.

Tuesday’s First Four Results
Hampton 74, Manhattan 64

Hampton technically entered the NCAA tournament with a sub-.500 record, but the Pirates are moving on after a 74-64 win over Manhattan on Tuesday night.

Their reward? Hampton moves on to take on No. 1 overall seed Kentucky on Thursday night in the round of 64.

Reginald Johnson scored 15 points and Quinton Chievous chipped in with 15 points and 13 rebounds for Manhattan, who pulled away in the final minutes to lock up the win.
