Dayton’s hopes of advancing in the NCAA Tournament were dwindling, so Dyshawn Pierre could have lost his cool.
Instead, he lost his pants.
With his team trailing by seven points in Wednesday’s First Four matchup against Boise State, the junior forward skied for an uncontested rebound. He came down with the ball, but unfortunately, his shorts came down with it.
That’s a full-on pantsing, at the hands of his own teammate, no less.
To make things more embarrassing, the episode happened directly in front of the Boise State cheerleaders, who reacted as you might expect.
Such a moment might be the undoing of many players, but Pierre pulled up his britches and soldiered on. His teammates did the same, erasing their deficit and surviving with a 56-55 win to advance to the Round of 64.
