The University of Florida went deep into its bag of tricks against rival Florida State last week.

The game took place a week ago, but just now is one of the key plays from that game starting to go viral. With the No. 3 Gators leading Florida State 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning and runners on the corners with two outs, Florida decided it was time for some trickeration.

The runner at first started the play by catching the attention of the left-handed pitcher looking right at him. The runner looked like he was taking off for second only to faceplant in the middle of the basepath, futher grabbing the attention of the pitcher and really everyone else on the field.

With the pitcher and the rest of the Seminoles falling for the falling player routine, Florida shortstop Richie Martin — the runner at third — took off for home plate. Martin was able to scamper home for the unconventional steal of home plate.

Florida went on to win 14-8.
