Chip Kelly is crazy, but he’s not that crazy — at least not yet.

The Philadelphia Eagles head coach has been on some kind of a roll this offseason with a number of eye-opening roster moves. Perhaps none was more perplexing than the decision to reportedly bring in quarterback Tim Tebow for a workout Monday.

However, according to ESPN.com, the Eagles have decided to pass on Tebow, at least for the time being, as the southpaw left the workout without a contract offer from the Eagles.

Tebow hasn’t been on an NFL regular-season roster since 2012 when he was with the New York Jets. Tebow signed with the New England Patriots in 2013, but he was cut before the regular season began.

Tebow, 27, saw the bulk of his NFL playing time with the Denver Broncos in 2010 and 2011. The former Heisman Trophy winner has 16 starts in his career, completing just 47.9 percent of his passes to go along with a 75.3 passer rating.

Tebow’s been spending his time working for ESPN and the SEC Network but continues to publicly state he wants to pursue his NFL career.
