The New England Patriots will need to open their wallet if they hope to keep Darrelle Revis.

The free-agent cornerback has an offer on the table worth $48 million over three years with $40 million guaranteed, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported Tuesday.

La Canfora reported the Patriots have offered guaranteed money in the mid-$30 millions. La Canfora guessed the Jets are the team that has offered $40 million in guarantees.

Revis also is drawing interest from the Buffalo Bills, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Tuesday. Revis played under new Bills head coach Rex Ryan during their time with the New York Jets.

UPDATE (6:46 p.m.): The Buffalo News’ Vic Carucci reported the Bills are not in the running for Revis, per “a source close to the situation.”
