It appears the Minnesota Vikings are pulling out all the stops to mend fences with Adrian Peterson.

The All-Pro running back, whose agent turned down a dinner date with Vikings brass next week, turned 30 on Saturday, and the team was quick to tweet its best wishes.

Peterson remains under contract with the Vikings through 2017. The team told his agent, Ben Dogra, that it doesn’t plan to release the running back, despite his continued place on the commissioner’s exempt list after child abuse charges ended his 2014 season after only one game.

No word if the happy birthday tweet will brings the sides closer together, but it can’t hurt.
