BOSTON — Hanley Ramirez’s Patriots’ Day came to a screeching halt.

Ramirez exited Monday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles at Fenway Park before the third inning due to illness, according to the Boston Red Sox. Allen Craig took over in left field in Ramirez’s absence.

Ramirez, who drilled his fifth home run of the season Sunday, grounded out in his lone at-bat in the first inning Monday. He also fielded a ball off the Green Monster in the second inning before departing.
