Saturday should be a dream day for sports fans, and one of the biggest events will be the shortest.

One of sports’ most exciting events takes place Saturday, as the Kentucky Derby kicks off horse racing’s Triple Crown season. The 141st running of the historic race will be held at Churchill Downs and is expected to begin at 6:24 p.m. ET.

Fans of the “sport of kings” can see the race on TV, as NBC once again will carry the event. Fans unable to get to a TV can watch the race online, at the Kentucky Derby’s website in conjunction with NBC Sports’ Live Extra App.

Bettors also can follow the action through TwinSpires.com.
