Among the NFL’s terrific tandems, it’s hard to beat Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and his top wide receiver, Calvin Johnson.
Stafford’s new teammate off the field might put that theory to the test.
The 27-year-old QB scored big over the weekend, marrying longtime girlfriend Kelly Hall at a fun-filled ceremony in Atlanta. Stafford and Hall met while at the University of Georgia, where Hall was a member of the cheerleading team, and the two have been together ever since.
Stafford is more well-known among sports circles, but his new wife certainly is no slouch. After turning heads as a Bulldogs cheerleader, Hall made waves at a 2013 “Dancing with the Stars” charity event and has been a fixture supporting Stafford at Lions games.
Stafford was named to his first Pro Bowl in 2014, and after tying the knot with Hall, we’d say the future is looking bright for this formidable duo.
