Rex Ryan Calls Out Tom Brady For Rough First Pitch At Red Sox Game

Rex Ryan is just taking shots at everyone these days.

The outspoken Buffalo Bills head coach had some strong words Wednesday for New York Jets tight end Jace Amaro, who recently said New York’s struggles in 2014 stemmed from a lack of accountability.

Later that day, Ryan took advantage of a news conference to slip in a jab at a certain New England Patriots quarterback. Tom Brady, if you’ll recall, threw out the ceremonial first pitch Monday at Fenway Park for the Boston Red Sox’s home opener. It did not go well, and Ryan reminded everyone of this fact.

“I think there’s an obvious thing that we should talk about first,” Ryan told reporters, via ESPN.com. “My pitch actually made it to the plate. It was a little wide, but I understand somebody bounced it — I’m not sure who it was — but Tom needs to keep his elbow up a little bit more, I think.”

Ryan threw out the first pitch at the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons’ home opener last week, and while he didn’t exactly nail the throw, it admittedly was better than Brady’s one-hopper to David Ortiz.

But since Ryan is a nice guy, he offered some extra advice to the four-time Super Bowl champ.

“I would have said, ‘Hey, Tom. Let’s take one practice toss out there on that mound, maybe,'” Ryan said. “But Tom likes taking advice from me, I know. I’m sure he’ll be working with that.”

We’re sure he’ll take you up on that, Rex.
