The best thing that happened Saturday night at the Arizona Coyotes-Anaheim Ducks game occurred before the puck was dropped.

The Coyotes and Ducks played a relatively meaningless game in the desert, a game that was overshadowed by a very special return. U.S. Army Sergeant Dan Urman stole the show as he made a surprise return home and did so in spectacular fashion.

Urman’s parents were invited to drop the puck for the ceremonial faceoff before the game, and they got the surprise of a lifetime when they found out their son was in the building. As Urman came out of the tunnel, his father couldn’t contain himself and ran toward his son, jumped into his arms and both fell to the ice in the midst of a touching embrace.

It’s just as good in photo form, too.
