Allen Craig will start in right field at Fenway Park for the first time this season Friday night.

Craig is in the Boston Red Sox’s lineup batting seventh and playing right field for his team’s series opener against the New York Yankees. The 30-year-old has started in four games for Boston this season, but all of them have come on the road.

He’ll fill in for Brock Holt, who gets the night off after starting in five of the previous six games.

The rest of the Sox’s lineup remains unchanged from Wednesday’s win over the Toronto Blue Jays, although first baseman Mike Napoli will hit fifth, swapping places in the batting order with third baseman Pablo Sandoval.

Righthander Justin Masterson will take the mound for Boston seeking his third win of the season. He won’t have to face Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez, who isn’t in New York’s lineup despite being one homer shy of Willie Mays on MLB’s all-time homer list.

Lefty C.C. Sabathia, who is off to an 0-4 start in 2015, is on the bump for the Yankees.
