Joe Horn isn’t one to keep his mouth shut.

The former New Orleans Saints wide receiver has quite the outspoken personality, which everyone learned when he busted out hisĀ famous cell phone touchdown celebration in 2003.

Horn recently sat down for an interview with TheFootballGirl.com, and the topic of Deflategate came up, because of course. We’ve seen many rip Tom Brady for the quarterback’sĀ role in the New England Patriots’ latest scandal, but in Horn’s mind, the onus falls on someone else.

“And the whole Brady thing, Iā€™m not mad at Tom,” Horn said. “Heā€™s a great athlete and he does what he needs to do to win the football game. If he deflated balls and the guys did for him, Iā€™m not mad at Tom for that. Guys do things all the time to get ahead that the NFL doesnā€™t know about.

“Who Iā€™m mad at, who I do disrespect and who should be suspended for a year, itĀ should be his head coach because he knows what everyone is doing.”

Yup, that’s right. Horn thinks Bill Belichick — who has emerged from the incident relatively unscathed — should take the fall.

Horn’s shot at Belichick was preceded by some incendiary comments about NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

“He has so much power that he can almost shut people down,” he added. “I just donā€™t like him. And I donā€™t like that on (NFL) draft day these kids donā€™t know that theyā€™re hugging the devil.

“I hate to see kids that are lost and then happy but they really donā€™t know that the man theyā€™re hugging will rip their throat apart.

“If he has an opportunity to take money from them, or there’s a situation where they’re guilty before they go to court, he’ll rip them apart. And there’s nothing no one can do about it. If the owners are happy with Roger Goodell, the fans, the media, no one can take his job from him. I hate it.”
