FOXBORO, Mass. — Malcom Brown has been in New England for less than three weeks, but the 2015 first-round draft already has a read on his new head coach.
“Great guy,” Brown said Wednesday at Gillette Stadium about Bill Belichick. “He’s my coach now. He shows everybody a lot of love, tough love, and sometimes we need that.”
Brown was introduced to the media by Patriots owner Robert Kraft and president Jonathan Kraft. The Krafts presented Brown with a No. 1 jersey Wednesday.
Brown obviously won’t wear No. 1 with the Patriots, since he’s a defensive tackle, but he said he’s unsure what number he will be given. The Patriots, as usual, are wearing numberless jerseys at organized team activities.
