Steven Stamkos Scores Ridiculous Goal Vs. Habs To End Playoff Drought (Video)

Steven Stamkos is on the board and in a big way.

The Tampa Bay Lightning sniper broke through with his first goal of the Stanley Cup playoffs Sunday night, as he scored in the Lightning’s 6-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens. The decisive victory gave Tampa Bay a 2-0 series lead as things head to Florida.

Perhaps just as importantly is that Stamkos has ended his postseason goalless streak. He had been held without a tally through the first eight games of the playoffs, but he finally broke through Sunday with a highlight-reel goal that made Canadiens goalie Carey Price look human, which hasn’t been easy to do this season.

Unbelievable.

If that goal helps Stamkos come alive, especially given how Tampa’s played through the first two games of the series, the Canadiens’ season could soon be coming to a close.
