New England Patriots fans are showing their support for suspended quarterback Tom Brady all sorts of ways.

Some people have gone as far as getting arrested for protesting at NFL offices in New York City. Yet others are finding legal ways to support Brady, most notably by purchasing Patriots merchandise, per CNBC’s Jessica Golden.

“According to Fanatics, the largest retailer of officially licensed sports merchandise, sales of Brady gear have spiked 100 percent since Monday, when the NFL announced he would be suspended for four games next season,” Golden writes.

Fanatics president of merchandising Jack Boyle told CNBC they “generally do not see an overall lift in sales if the news with a team is not favorable.”

Brady always has had one of the top-selling jerseys in the NFL, regardless of if he’s involved in a controversy or just winning a lot of games. He consistently ranked among NFL Shop’s best-selling jerseys in 2014, and it appears he’s headed for another top 10 finish following a fourth Super Bowl championship and the ongoing DeflateGate situation.

Brady will appeal his four-game suspension, which was one part of the punishment handed down to him and the Patriots from the NFL. Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly is “out of his mind with anger” over the punishments.
