Members of the New England Patriots received their gigantic Super Bowl rings Sunday, but for one former player, the hardware appears headed in the other direction.

Brandon Spikes’ 2011 AFC Championship ring has surfaced on eBay for a listing price of $19,499, just days after the Patriots released the linebacker.

Here’s a closer view of the massive ring, which has Spikes’ name and number etched on the side.

Spikes has had quite the love/hate relationship with New England over the years.

The 27-year-old was a solid run-stopper for the Patriots from 2010 to 2013, helping New England reach the Super Bowl in 2011. He joined the Buffalo Bills in 2014 after a rather unceremonious split from the Patriots, but claimed it was all water under the bridge when he re-signed with New England in May.

About a week ago, however, Spikes’ car was found abandoned after a crash on I-495, and he later was charged with four motor vehicle offenses.

Spikes has yet to appear in court, but apparently the free agent is looking for a bit of extra money to defray those potential costs.
