WALTHAM, Mass. — A sextet of lesser-known NBA prospects visited the Boston Celtics’ practice facility Wednesday morning.

The most highly touted of the attendees was French big man Alpha Kaba, a 6-foot-10 19-year-old who’s projected as a second-round pick in the upcoming 2015 NBA Draft.

Kaba made his professional debut this season for Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez in France’s LNB Pro A, but he was used sparingly, logging a total of 31 minutes over eight games.

Joining Kaba at the workout was a tandem of UMass products: Maxie Esho and Cady Lalanne. Even an undrafted free-agent contract is a long shot for Esho, who also worked out for the Celtics last week, but Lalanne’s chances of landing with an NBA team are considerably stronger.

A rangy, 6-foot-10 power forward/center with a 7-foot-5 wingspan, Lalanne checks in at No. 65 on DraftExpress’ Top 100 Prospects list.

Rounding out the workout were Wyoming forward Larry Nance (No. 77 on DraftExpress’ Top 100), Western Kentucky guard T.J. Price and Florida Southern guard Kevin Capers, who averaged 21.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.3 steals per game this season in leading the Moccasins to a 36-1 record and a Division II national title.
