It’s never good news when your network pre-empts your program for an emergency preparedness test.

Yet that’s what appeared to happen to Keith Olbermann on Wednesday as he attempted to reveal his nightly “Worst Persons in the Sports World.” As he described an online test — designed to tell the user what TV sports personality he is — that told him he was Ryen Russillo, Olbermann was interrupted by a P.A. announcement.

“I sense there is a flaw in your quiz,” Olbermann said. “Also, in the studio P.A. system.”

A pro’s pro, Olbermann powered through, finishing on a hilarious note with the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry’s pitch-throwing robot — better known to the rest of us as a “pitching machine.”
