If Kevin Love returns to Cleveland next season, it won’t be LeBron James’ doing.

James “won’t be re-recruiting” Love this summer as the 6-foot-10 forward tests free agency, Chris Haynes of Northeast Ohio Media Group reported Wednesday.

Love reportedly will opt out of the final year of his contract with the Cavaliers and will become an unrestricted free agent July 1. He and James reportedly did not have the greatest relationship this season, and Love watched the final three rounds of the Cavaliers’ playoff run from the bench after suffering a shoulder injury in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Boston Celtics.

Regardless, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported Wednesday that Cleveland remains the most probable landing spot for the three-time All-Star.
