It’s no secret that many baseball fans aren’t too fond of the St. Louis Cardinals, so when it was reported Tuesday that the team was being investigated by the FBI for allegedly hacking into the Houston Astros’ internal records, those non-Cards fans were giddy.

And they had a field day on Twitter.

Many turned straight to the fanbase’s “Best Fans in Baseball” nickname and the idea the Cardinals play baseball “the right way.”

Others thought they should investigate some former Cardinals, or at least see what mascot Fredbird is up to.

Some folks used the scandal as an opportunity to poke fun at teams other than the Cardinals.

And, of course, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher/Twitter King Brandon McCarthy had to give his two cents.
