Cleveland just can’t catch a break. What else is new?

Carlos Carrasco turned in a dominant start on Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Rays, the third consecutive day a Cleveland Indians pitcher went at least five no-hit innings. But with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth, Carrasco surrendered a base hit to Rays designated hitter Joey Butler that barely tipped over the glove of second baseman Jason Kipnis.

The hit prompted one broadcaster to exclaim, “The Butler did it!” but we think Malcolm Butler’s game-saving play was just a little bit better.

The Indians retired the next batter to seal an 8-1 win.
