Japanese High Schooler Has Hilariously Complicated At-Bat Ritual (Video)

If you thought Nomar Garciaparra’s pre-at-bat ritual was complicated, then wait until you get a load of this high school baseball player from Japan.

The baseball player in question most likely drives pitchers crazy — if this is his routine every time he steps up to the plate, that is — because his warm-up includes spinning his bat like a baton, as well as some pretty awesome dance moves.

While we’re not sure if this in an everyday thing for the kid, the Twitter translation says he was a pinch-hitter. I guess if you’re not in the starting lineup, you might as well go big or go home.
