Mavs’ Chandler Parsons Had Fantastic Tweet During DeAndre Jordan Saga

DeAndre Jordan is heading back to Los Angeles, and that means the Dallas Mavericks are left picking up the pieces.

Despite the fact Jordan reportedly agreed to a deal with the Mavs, he had a change of heart Wednesday and ultimately signed a new contract to return to the Clippers. The entire ordeal played out via Twitter, which made for some high-level entertainment, including an emoji war between some of the parties involved.

One of the day’s and night’s best tweets might have come from Dallas forward Chandler Parsons. First, Parsons joined the emoji throwdown. Then, as the night progressed and it looked less and less likely Jordan was going to end up with the Mavericks, Parsons fired off this tweet:

Get it? Because it’s like a fake-out, which is what Jordan did to the Mavericks. Don’t get us wrong: He’s no Paul Pierce, but all in all, pretty strong Twitter performance.

Welcome to NBA free agency, where tweets are stories. Fun times.
