Ski and snowboard fans will be able to watch a big air competition at Boston’s historic Fenway Park in February.

“Fenway Sports Management and the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Association have agreed in principal to bring a big air snowboarding and freeskiing U.S. Grand Prix tour stop to Fenway on Feb. 11-12,” Ben Fischer of Sports Business Daily wrote.

Here’s an example of what the ramp could look like, via NBC Sports.

The report also states that NBC Sports Network will broadcast the event to a live audience. The snowboard portion of the event is scheduled for Feb. 11, and the ski competition is Feb. 12.

“We think there will be demand for these tickets. Just how much, we honestly don’t know right now,” Fenway Sports Management president Sam Kennedy told SBD. “It’s still too early to say. I could see a scenario where there is extremely high demand, considering it’s a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Fenway’s been around for 103 years now, and it’s never happened.”

The ramp that will be used for the competition will begin in center field and descend down to the infield.

An official announcement has not yet been made.
