UFC 189 finally is here.
Despite featherweight champion Jose Aldo pulling out of the main card because of his rib injuries, UFC 189 still will be the biggest fight of 2015. Chad Mendes, who lost to Aldo the last time he defended his belt, will replace Aldo to decide who will hold the interim featherweight belt. Mendes is the No. 1-ranked featherweight belt contender, but his opponent — Irishman Conor McGregor — is making all the headlines.
McGregor, by all accounts, is the most polarizing name in the sport. His meteoric rise to fame can only get bigger with a win Saturday night, though a loss certainly would hurt the trash-talking superstar‘s stock.
