The golf gods have given us a final pairing for the ages Sunday at the PGA Championship.
Jason Day (15 under) and Jordan Spieth (13 under) — two of the top five golfers in the world — will tee off at 2:45 p.m. ET on Sunday in the final round of the PGA Championship after putting on a show in Round 3 at Whistling Straits.
Day has the lead heading into the final day after shooting a 6-under 66 in the third round. Day got a double bogey on the 15th hole and failed to make a birdie on the par-5 16th, but he finished strong and built up a two-stroke lead heading into Sunday.
Spieth is close behind after finishing with three straight birdies to card a 7-under 65. If Spieth can come from behind and win the PGA Championship, he would become the third player to win three majors in a year, joining Tiger Woods (2000) and Ben Hogan (1953). Day is looking for his first major.
Day and Spieth aren’t the only two in contention, though. Branden Grace and Justin Rose are tied for third at 12 under and Martin Kaymer is close behind at 11 under.
