Deflategate made its way into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Wednesday — albeit in an indirect fashion.

Before Willie McGinest and Houston Antwine were inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame, Patriots president Jonathan Kraft took the stage and gave an opening statement.

During that speech, he talked about the importance of “math and science” in football in an apparent jab at the Wells Report’s refusal to acknowledge scientific factors played a role in the Patriots’ footballs being under-inflated in the AFC Championship Game.
