Well, it sure looks like the NFL and Tom Brady are heading to court.

There’s been no sign of progress toward a settlement, and on the verge of a court hearing Wednesday in New York, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen cited sources saying the NFL won’t settle unless Brady accepts the findings of the Wells Report.

Of course, Brady has maintained his innocence all along, appealing his four-game suspension for his alleged role in Deflategate. When NFL commissioner Roger Goodell upheld the ruling after Brady’s appeal, the New England Patriots quarterback authorized the NFL Players Association to file a petition on his behalf.

U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman on Tuesday urged the sides to “engage in further good settlement efforts” before getting to Wednesday’s court hearing. According to all of these reports, however, it doesn’t appears that’s going to happen.
