FOXBORO, Mass. — Jose Goncalves and Juan Agudelo scored second-half goals after long weather delays, and the New England Revolution beat the Houston Dynamo 2-0 in a game that ended early Sunday.

Goncalves opened the scoring for the Revs (9-9-7) in the 69th minute, smashing home a right-footed shot after the Dynamo (6-9-7) failed to clear Lee Nguyen’s corner kick. Agudelo iced it with another goal in the 88th minute.

Play was delayed nearly two hours in the 13th minute because of close lightning strikes and heavy downpours. The game was delayed again for about an hour during halftime. It was the first weather delay of a Revolution home game since Aug. 13, 2003.
