Robbie Ross Jr. Falls Down In Red Sox Bullpen, Redeems Himself (Video)

Robbie Ross Jr. had an interesting night in the Boston Red Sox’s bullpen at Fenway Park.

Ross first attempted to chase down Rusney Castillo’s home run in the first inning of Friday’s 15-1 win over the Seattle Mariners, at which point the Red Sox reliever tumbled over one of the mounds and fell face-first into the corner of the ‘pen. Hilarious.

The left-hander then totally redeemed himself in the fifth inning by somehow catching the first of Travis Shaw’s two home runs in his hat. Again, hilarious.

It was an all-around eventful day for the Red Sox, who pounded 21 hits in an entertaining victory just hours after learning their manager, John Farrell, has been diagnosed with Stage 1 lymphoma. But Ross’ antics gave everyone a reason to smile, which shouldn’t go unnoticed, as goofy as he looked.

Even Ross’ wife couldn’t help but tweet about her crazy husband.
