Liverpool faces a considerable early test of its credentials Monday, but Simon Mignolet is certain that the Reds can rise to the challenge against Arsenal.

The Emirates Stadium is the venue for an evening meeting between two teams expected to tussle for a spot in the Barclays Premier League’s top four.

Everything has gone to plan for Mignolet and the Reds so far.

The goalkeeper has not been beaten in the opening two matches, and Brendan Rodgers’ team hasfound the breakthrough in each game to notch maximum points.

Facing Arsenal away from home represents a larger obstacle, but the Belgian feels Liverpool have plenty still in reserve to combat the Londoners.

“We have started well and everybody is pleased with what we’ve done so far,” Mignolet told LiverpoolFC.com. “But there’s a lot of room for improvement.

“That’s only a good thing when you have won twice and can improve. We want to continue in the same way in the game on Monday against Arsenal.

“It’s not only the fans who look out for a big fixture — we do it as players as well.

“We look forward to the game at the Emirates. We want to do well. We want to continue in the same way that we’ve started the season off and hopefully we can do that.”
